Barleylands appointed CJAM Group following a competitive pitch. In an increasingly competitive sector, CJAM was briefed to increase footfall and awareness of subsidiary offerings at the venue – an education programme for schools, children’s parties, venue hire and more

The work

Key to the creative team’s approach has been simplifying the artwork for posters, advertisements and banners, ensuring key messages are clearer and more engaging. As well as offering a reactive and proactive press office service, CJAM Group generates all social media, writes weekly e-newsletter, website updates and events listings. The team is also responsible for planning, branding and new ideas for new events, promotional activity, direct mail and competitor appraisals.

Developing the brand look and feel will be an ongoing process with further enhancements to the website and mobile optimisation.

The agency is also working with Barleylands’ partners, for example Visit Essex, to maximise the benefit of existing relationships.

The result

CJAM Group has produced creative for key events including February Festival of Fun and Step into Spring. PR activity generated 16 pieces of press coverage within the first two months.

A planned and sustained social media strategy resulted in engagement growing by more than 470% and reach by 320% in the first month of CJAM Group’s management with continued growth in subsequent months.
