Running marathons, dressing up in silly wigs and rolling around in the mud are just a few of the crazy things CJAM Group team members have done in the name of fundraising. CJAM Group places charity as one of the most important factors in its company’s values.
As a team of local business professionals, we understand how much local charities can benefit from the support of the community; this is why CJAM Group likes to give back to the local area. CJAM Group offers free and discounted marketing as well as e-newsletters to support a wide range of local charities such as Headway Essex, The J’s Hospice, Havens Hospice and Colchester Hospital’s Charity (CoHoC).
CJAM Group’s charitable actions have taken some of the team members on some amazing adventures. Only last year, our associations account director and experienced runner Lisa Dalton ran 10 marathons, including the local Chelmsford marathon with Team Heart which raised funds for our chosen charity of 2015 – The J’s Hospice. Courtney Hicks, our social media manager took part in her first mud race and raised money for Cancer Research UK. A regular on the daffodil collection scene, Julie Claus has dedicated her time to collecting money for Marie Curie. CJAM Group’s work with CoHoC, where our Marketing Director, Lucy French and Marnie Bradford, Head of Communications created artwork boards to line CoHoC’s new cancer wellness centre. The artwork was unveiled at a special event at the House of Commons.
Although our team members have raised funds for charities we understand the importance of volunteering to help those in need. CJAM Group allows its team members to take time off to volunteer in the local community. Sarah Wilde, finance and compliance director recently passed her dementia awareness course and now spends one day a week helping at a retirement home caring for those suffering from the disease. This is a cause particularly close to Sarah’s heart and is something CJAM Group has proudly supported her through. Associations account director Lisa Dalton, uses her knowledge and expert skills, something we at CJAM know all too well, to help train and coach young children and inexperienced runners at parkrun, Great Cornard.
Charity will always play a key part in the dynamics of CJAM Group’s values. Each little bit helps and we can’t wait to see what crazy things the CJAM Group team gets up to this year. It’s all in the name of fundraising after all!
