CJAM has stepped up its digital marketing activities for leading tyre safety organisation TyreSafe with the launch of a new Facebook app, a new part-worn tyres video and a new corporate video . The app, introduced to coincide with this year’s Tyre Safety Month campaign, invites Facebook users to ‘take a pledge’ to check their tyres within seven days, following TyreSafe’s simple ‘20p’ tread depth test. The commitment is then shared with all their friends. Meanwhile, the part-worn video features TyreSafe’s chairman explaining the dangers of part-worn tyres, while the corporate video takes viewers on a whistle-stop tour of the organisation’s history and achievements to date.
“As engagement with TyreSafe’s social media channels continues to grow, creating compelling digital content will be increasingly important in terms of educating motorists on tyre safety,” explains Christine Joyce, Managing Director, CJAM. “The new Facebook app is a great example of TyreSafe’s drive to spread the word about the significance of tyre safety. We anticipate a heightened level of engagement as people become more aware of the need to check their tyres.”
As we head towards the wettest period of the year, tyre safety is more critical than ever. TyreSafe’s new part-worn tyres video, developed by CJAM, clearly articulates the serious safety issues associated with driving on part-worn tyres. In addition to revealing the shocking results of an independent survey, whereby just one part-worn tyre in 50 was sold legally, it also tells the tragic story of a driver who was left paralysed following a car accident due to driving on part-worn tyres.
“The new video represents the next step in our ongoing part-worn tyres campaign, which has already generated strong interest, both at a national and regional level,” continues Joyce. “In addition to achieving media coverage in top consumer motoring title Auto Express , we have also secured a top radio opportunity with prime Radio 4 show ‘You and Yours’. I am confident that this campaign will continue to go from strength to strength, with digital tactics playing an important role.”
The corporate TyreSafe video, entitled ‘On the right road’, charts the organisation’s history to date, its rapid growth and journey to becoming one of the country’s leading voices on road safety issues, including its major campaigns and achievements.
