As firm believers in supporting education and young people in the local area, CJAM Group and Premier Print and Promotions are teaming up to sponsor the first Gazette Education Awards in Essex for 2015.
The Awards have been created to honour exemplary institutions, teachers and pupils in the region. A total of 19 winners will attend the black-tie award ceremony to receive their prizes on Friday 6th November at the Weston Homes Community Stadium in Colchester.
Colchester Gazette editor James Wills, who has been named as one of this year’s judges alongside Christine Joyce, CJAM’s managing director and Jamie Marshall, managing director of Premier, said “We have some top schools, teachers and support staff and it is about time their hard work was given some recognition.”
Premier and CJAM Group have been working together to actively support education in Essex over the last few months. Recently, to celebrate National Stationary Week’s Let’s Get Writing Campaign, Premier visited Primary schools in Feering, Kelvedon, Tiptree, Coggeshall and Chappel, donating 1,000 handwriting pens to pupils.
Christine Joyce, managing director of CJAM Group said: “We are passionate about championing young, local people. We enjoy excellent relationships with schools in Colchester and Essex University and so are proud to be sponsoring these very important awards.”
CJAM Group are already passionate supporters of the local education system and currently employs one apprentice and recently recruited two interns on placement alongside finishing their accountancy courses at Colchester Institute.
“I am a product of the local education system myself, have three children in local schools and am the employer of over 30 young people from Essex” added Jamie Marshall, managing director of Premier Print and Promotions. “Naturally I am delighted to support these awards which celebrate the fantastic work of individuals and institutions in education across our county.”
