A Colchester-based marketing and communications agency has put its best foot forward for charity by raising £1600 for Cancer Research UK in its Race for Life event.
Twelve members of staff, family and friends, aged from six to 56 years old, joined forces to take on cancer in Castle Park in aid of CRUK’s life-saving work.
The CJAM team dressed in pink t-shirts and tutus to walk, jog and run 5k on a warm Sunday morning last month.
Christine Joyce, Managing Director at CJAM Group, said: “We had great fun taking part in Race for Life and are delighted to have raised money for this worthwhile cause. All of our staff supported the event, it was a real team effort, whilst raising money for a seriously good cause.”
Christine added: “Most of us know someone who has been touched by cancer and we all have our special reasons for taking part. Cancer has affected us this year, it is a disease which will affect one in three of us during our lifetime.
“We all completed the race with big smiles on our faces, cheered on by the on-looking crowd. We heard some inspirational stories and met some fantastic people. The atmosphere was amazing and we are already making plans for the event in 2017!”
Cancer Research UK’s Race for Life raises millions of pounds every year to help fund vital research.
“There is still time to sponsor us, please head to our Just Giving page to support us.”
