There were smiles all round when CJAM Group was awarded a prestigious North Essex Business Award on Friday.
CJAM Group, based in White Colne, was awarded the ‘Community Charity (Private)’ award in recognition of its work with local charities and community groups at a glittering black tie awards ceremony held at Braxted Park in Witham.
The North Essex Business Awards showcase the range of talent and business success across the area.
Established 20 years ago, they are open to small, medium and large companies that have shown dedication and commitment to excellence.
CJAM Group Managing Director Christine Joyce was presented with the award, accompanied by members of the marketing and communications team.
She said: “We are thrilled to have won this award. The North Essex Business Awards are a local platform for celebrating the very best in business in the area and so we are delighted to be recognised in this way.
“We work with a host of charities and local groups, helping them create effective and engaging marketing campaigns to promote their causes. As a full service marketing agency, we are able to work across the complete range of communication channels to help our clients raise their profile, boost fundraising and achieve their objectives.
To win the award, CJAM Group needed to demonstrate its commitment to supporting charities and community groups.
Many local hospices rely on CJAM Group for regular e-newsletters and social media support, which it undertakes at no charge. It works with Headway Essex, Haven Hospice and The J’s Hospice among others to keep fundraising new and fresh, enabling them to provide vital support to local families in their most critical time of need.
It also champions Colchester Hospital’s Cancer Centre Campaign, most recently developing a suite of new campaign materials to raise awareness and enhance fundraising. All resources and creative work were donated free of charge.
Christine added: “We work with local charities and groups across a wide-range of projects. We put community at the heart of our company’s values. Our combination of skill sets enables us to give something back of real value and has formed the basis of our new corporate social responsibility policy.”
CJAM Group is proud to work with TyreSafe – the country’s tyre safety not-for-profit organisation – to bring lifesaving tyre safety messages to hundreds of thousands of drivers and road users nationwide. Since 2006, it has contributed to reducing tyre related casualties on the UK’s roads by 31 per cent.
It has provided free consultancy services to NSPCC and Lepra and has worked with Hankook Tyres, the sponsors of the UEFA Europa League, to raise vital awareness of road safety.
Meanwhile, staff are encouraged to take part in fundraising activities and volunteering, the latest of which sees 20 colleagues, family and friends taking part in Race for Life this Sunday (July 10).
