Local marketing agency CJAM Group is sponsoring Witham-based Josh Brand in the 2013 London Marathon. Brand will be running in support of the National Deaf Children’s Society (NDCS), a charity dedicated to creating a world without barriers for young deaf people. The team is delighted to be sponsoring Brand as he undertakes the world famous marathon. He will stand out from the crowd with his colourful new CJAM cap.
“The National Deaf Children’s Society does great work across the UK to help young deaf people build their confidence and interact positively at home and at school,” explains Christine Joyce, Managing Director, CJAM Group. “We wish Josh every success in his quest to run the London Marathon and will be there to cheer him on.”
Brand aims to raise £2,000 for the NDCS, and has already raised £1,700. As he gears up for his first marathon, he is attending the gym for long stints every day, and has been building up his energy with lots of carb-based meals. He will be among the first of the amateur runners to set off from Greenwich, following hot on the heels of the elite runners, and expects to complete the course in three hours.
In addition to supporting a local runner in the London Marathon, CJAM helps a number of Essex-based charities with voluntary and discounted marketing services, including the J’s Hospice, St Helena Hospice, Haven’s Hospice and Headway Essex. The company is also a member of charity communications organisation CharityComms.
