It was smiles all round when Will Quince MP unveiled CJAM Group’s new creative campaign for Colchester Hospital’s cancer centre appeal at a special event held at the Houses of Parliament last night.
Local marketing agency CJAM Group created a series of super-scale eye catching pieces of artwork to help the hospital charity in its bid to raise £4.5 million for a new purpose built cancer centre.
The new artwork boards, which feature NHS staff and personal quotes, will be displayed along the corridor leading to the existing part of the new cancer centre.
As well as creating a more colourful and welcoming environment for patients and visitors, the large scale artwork will promote the work of the cancer campaign and how people can get involved.
CJAM has worked with the cancer campaign since the hospital charity was announced a winner of £1000 worth of free marketing expertise last year.
Since then the agency’s marketing team has worked closely with the charity to create a series of nine artwork boards and posters which bring to life the reason why the cancer centre is so important.
So far, Colchester cancer centre incorporates one the country’s most modern radiotherapy departments with state-of-the-art linear accelerators. The fundraising campaign is now focusing its efforts on raising £4.5 million for a new state-of-the-art chemotherapy suite and wellness centre above the radiotherapy suite, to bring first class cancer services under one roof and to provide holistic therapies, information, support and advice for patients and their families.
CJAM’s Head of Communications Marnie Bradford attended the event with Marketing Director Lucy French. She said: “It was fantastic to see the positive response the artwork received and to meet patients and staff from the hospital, learning more about why this cancer campaign is so important.
“We’re delighted to support Colchester Hospital’s cancer campaign. We all know someone who has been affected by cancer and one in three people will be diagnosed with the disease during their lifetime. A new purpose-built chemotherapy suite and wellness centre will make an extraordinary difference to the lives of patients and their families in Colchester and we are proud to support that.”
