CJAM is looking to appoint a new Communications Manager to join its marketing and association management business.
The successful applicant will become an integral part of CJAM’s team of highly-experienced and successful marketing, press and communications team, directly supporting the Marketing Director.
The Communications Manager will need to have a wide knowledge of marketing techniques and concepts, excellent communication skills and the ability to understand and appreciate different audiences. The day-to-day duties will be varied, including contributing to the formation and delivery of strategic marketing campaigns, taking a pro-active lead on social media, and ensuring administrative tasks are well managed and up-to-date. There will also be the opportunity to work alongside the PR team.
The position requires a highly-motivated and ambitious individual with a ‘can-do’ attitude, passion to learn and willingness to travel.

This newly-created role follows CJAM’s huge growth in 2015. Based in White Colne, Colchester. CJAM offers full-service marketing capability and produces impactful creative campaigns for a diverse portfolio of clients, including those in the education and automotive sectors. CJAM also has a wide range of association clients and works with charities, the NHS and runs national campaigns.

The Role
Promoting brands to individuals, organisations and corporate bodies in line with strategic goals
Champion all aspects of client campaigns and projects
Support the Marketing Director in the implementation and monitoring of a strategic plan that will raise the organisation’s profile and image
Dealing with clients and liaising with suppliers to ensure campaigns are implemented on time and to budget
Oversee the further development of digital and direct marketing channels to ensure that they meet KPIs and they provide up-to-date information on services and activities and leverage opportunities
Develop beneficial and lasting relationships and networks to continually raise the profile of CJAM
Skills & experience
- Ideally, degree qualified (or equivalent)
- Must be able to demonstrate a strong marketing and communications background with B2B experience
- Have a clear understanding of all communications channels and their appropriate use
- Exceptional creative writer with attention to detail and the ability to adapt content to different channels and audiences
- Effective project management skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks within deadline
- Experienced in digital media including web content, social and e-marketing and, ideally SE
- Innovative, entrepreneurial and solution-led attitude to work
