The future burns bright for businesses in Colchester. This was the message that came across loud and clear at this year’s Colchester Business Awards. The vibrant event celebrated the best of the historic town’s business men and women, businesses and charities. The CJAM team were delighted to take part in the evening and thrilled to be named as finalists in two categories.
“These are exciting times for Colchester businesses,” says Christine Joyce, Managing Director, CJAM. “I’m proud to see so many local companies and individuals excelling and spurring their organisations forward. I would encourage all winners and finalists to make the most of their success by optimising their marketing strategies to enjoy further growth in 2013.”
Colchester has grown by an impressive 11% in the past ten years, according to official census data released earlier this year. The town’s population is now 173,100, compared to 156,000 a decade ago. This news reinforces the Office of National Statistics’ prediction that Colchester’s population will rise to 207,000 by 2018.
With a rich cultural heritage, major regeneration projects in place and an attractive array of modern facilities, Colchester is fast becoming one of the UK’s most thriving towns. Businesses of all shapes and sizes are flourishing here. Local businesses also received a boost from the Colchester Jubilee Fund, launched in May 2012 to support small to medium sized companies with their growth plans.
“Congratulations again to all the winners and finalists at the Colchester Business Awards, and thank you to our clients and friends for your support,” concludes Joyce. “Here’s to a prosperous new year for all our local businesses, charities and entrepreneurs!”
Christine Joyce was named as a finalist in the ‘Business Woman of the Year’ category of the 2012 Colchester Business Awards, while CJAM was named as a finalist in the ‘New Company of the Year’ category.
